IBB invests in blogfoster
Marketing software company blogfoster has received €500,000 from IBB-Beteiligungsgesellschaft, the Axel Springer Plug and Play accelerator and a private investor.
IBB invested from its €52m VC-Fonds Technologie Berlin vehicle.
According to IBB, there are 300 million blogs worldwide. blogfoster works with both conventional websites as well as apps.
The two founders initially operated a blog marketing boutique before founding blogfoster in 2013. The Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator provided €25,000 of start-up capital in late-2013, as well as offices and a network of contacts in exchange for 5% of shares.
Adtech has seen an increased interest from private equity investors, particularly in the UK. Notion Capital has invested in three companies in the space in the past twelve months, most recently injecting $7m into social media advertising platform Glow Digital Media.

Founded in mid-2013, Berlin-based blogfoster is a company of 4 people providing bloggers with a self-service tool to decide which adverts appear on their web pages. It currently looks after more than 400 ad campaigns and 1000 blogs.

Kathleen Olstedt led the deal for IBB. Jörg Rheinboldt is CEO of Axel Springer Plug and Play. Jan Homann and Simon Staib are co-founders of blogfoster.
