
Accel Partners leads $4.5m series-A in Trufa
Accel Partners has led a $4.5m series-A financing round for German data analytics provider Trufa.
The fresh capital will be used to develop new products as well as expand Trufa's operations into new markets.
Prior to investing in Trufa, Accel Partners' most recent deal in Germany was a €6m investment in gaming company flaregames in February 2012.

Heidelberg-based Trufa develops predictive analytics, leveraging in-memory database technology to analyse volumes of operational data. The real-time data analytics programme is designed to predict the financial impact of operations and enable businesses to better understand the relationship between operation and finances, while prioritising operations based on costs and measuring progress.

Bruce Golden is a partner at Accel. Ralph Treitz is the CEO and founder of Trufa. He has been working as CEO of SAP subsidiary VMS since 2002. Paul Wahl and Alex Ott will join Trufa's board.
