
Zurmont Madison's CLS Communications acquires 4-Text
Zurmont Madison portfolio company CLS Communications has completed the acquisition of German documentation provider 4-Text Software-Lokalisierung und technische Uebersetzungen GmbH.
Following the transaction, the company will operate under the name CLS 4-Text GmbH. The deal was financed through equity provided by Zurmont Madison as well as debt provided by Credit Suisse in Zurich.
Zurmont Madison acquired Switzerland-based CLS in July 2009 in an all-equity deal valued at less than €25m. The GP also provided acquisition finance for the purchase of Denmark-based Scandinavian Translators and Canadian business Lexi-Tech International.

4-Text is a Berlin-based support services company, providing translations of technical documentation from industrial companies. Founded in 1997, it employs more than 60 people. Its latest revenues amounted to slightly less than €10m.

Partner Andreas Ziegler led the deal on behalf of Zurmont Madison. Marie-Laure Vinckx, previously CEO, will continue to lead the operations of 4-Text.
