
Paua Ventures backs Kiwi.ki’s €4m series-A
Paua Ventures has led wireless-key technology company Kiwi.ki’s €4m series-A funding round.
Hamburg-based wood trader JF Müller & Sohn and business angels Konstantin Sixt and Christian Oldendorff also took part in the round.
The fresh funding has been earmarked for infrastructure expansion and to internationalise the company's product. Kiwi.ki raised around €1m in funding in February last year from Paua Ventures.
Company
Kiwi.ki is a keyless access system that allows users to enter buildings automatically via a small transponder or a smartphone app. It currently employs 30 people. Kiwi.ki was founded in February 2012 and is headquartered in Berlin.
Kiwi has partnered with Deutsche Post, waste management company Alba, the Berlin fire brigade, T-Mobile and Allianz, among others.
