
Holtzbrinck leads Caremondo’s series-A
Holtzbrinck Ventures and business angels have backed the seven-digit series-A of Caremondo, an online platform for medical tourism.
The company will use the investment to initiate collaborations with clinics outside the DACH region. It also plans to hire more staff.
Holtzbrinck initially invests between €500,000-2.5m. The VC backs startups with up to €40m in total.

Caremondo received investments from business angels for its seed round.

Founded in 2014 and based in Munich, Caremondo is a marketplace for medical services. It provides users with an overview of medical services in clinics in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and allows them to schedule appointments. The company currently employs a staff of 15.

Veronika Leitermann and Andreas Otto are the founders of Caremondo. Lars Langusch is general partner at Holtzbrinck.
