
Pontis sells Lixto to McKinsey
Pontis Capital has sold software company Lixto to management consulting firm McKinsey in a trade sale after a holding period of seven years.
Software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform Lixto will merge with McKinsey's subsidiary, data solutions provider Periscope, which seeks to improve its revenue management solutions through the acquisition of the Vienna-based firm.
The venture capital firm originally backed Lixto with €2.6m in 2006.
Pontis usually invests in the DACH region, with a focus on expansion-stage transactions. The GP typically invests €1-5m in companies with a revenue of €2-40m.
Pontis focuses on the technology sector, investing in information and communication technologies, cleantech and medtech.
