Point Nine backs Remerge
Berlin-based venture firm Point Nine Capital has led a $1m seed funding round for adtech start-up Remerge.
The company stated the fresh funding will be used for new hires, improving technology and to finance market entry.
Point Nine stated it chose to invest in Remerge because it had previously worked with the entrepreneurial team behind the company. Point Nine invested in mobile advertising specialist madvertise in 2010 in its previous incarnation as Team Europe Ventures. The madvertise team launched Remerge in 2013.
Team Europe rebranded its venture capital arm to Point Nine Capital in June 2011. The €40m Point Nine Capital II vehicle was used to finance the Remerge series-A round.
Company
Founded in 2013 by five entrepreneurs, Remerge is a mobile advertising technology platform that specialises in app audience management. It allows marketers to segment their audiences according to their individual requirements and provides data security without the use of software development kits, which removes the need for manual processes.
Remerge's clients come from the online gaming, travel and retail sectors. The company currently has six employees.
