
Earlybird, HTGF lead €1.1m EBS Technologies round
Earlybird and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) have backed Electrical Brain Synchronization Technologies (EBS) in the company's latest funding round, which so far has accrued €1.1m.
Earlybird and HTGF led the round, which saw three private investors also participating. The round has not yet closed.
With the fresh capital, the company wants to gain financial independence and enter the US market.
Earlybird first invested in EBS in January 2010, leading a €3m funding round together with BC Brandenburg Capital.
The GP usually invests between €1-15m in companies operating across mobile services, information technology, communications and the healthcare sector.
Company
EBS provides a non-invasive treatment for visual field loss. It was introduced in Germany in 2014. The company was established in 2007 and is based in Henningsdorf near Berlin.
