
AWS Gründerfonds invests in Mobile Pocket
AWS Gründerfonds and OÖ HightechFonds (OÖ HTF) have invested between €5-9m in Hagenburg-based retail services app Mobile Pocket.
The company plans to expand into Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, the UK and Spain. It will also build new retail partnerships.
AWS invests up to €3m in start-ups with high growth potential. OÖ HTF invests in high-tech companies in the upper Austria region. Backers include the European Union, the Upper Austrian state and banks in the region.

Founded in 2001, Mobile Pocket enables users to save loyalty cards to their smartphones. The app provides features such as a store finder and voucher codes and is linked to VeroPay to enable mobile payments to participating shops. In addition, outlets can use the app to communicate with their customers.
