DN Capital backs Book a Tiger
DN Capital has led a seven-figure seed funding round for online professional cleaning portal Book a Tiger.
DN invested via its latest fund, DN Capital Global Venture Capital III, alongside international institutional investors and business angels. In April, unquote" reported that DN's third vehicle had reached €80m of its €100m target.
The company, set up by Delivery Hero co-founders Claude Ritter and Nikita Fahrenholz, aims to use the money to expand and establish Book a Tiger as the leading platform in Germany.
The private equity firm has known the team at Delivery Hero for several years and has already invested in European businesses in the mobile marketplace, such as Berlin-based restaurant reservation provider Quandoo in January this year. DN decided to invest in Book a Tiger because of the potential to bring customers and service providers together in a transparent and cost-effective manner.
Company
Founded in April this year, Book a Tiger is an online portal for the direct booking of professional cleaners. It claims to take less than a minute for users to book a cleaner who has passed a three-stage recruitment process.
Headquartered in Berlin, cleaners can also be booked in Hamburg and Frankfurt. A team of six operates the website, which offers cleaners from €15 per hour.
