HTGF backs virtualQ
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) has provided seed funding for Berlin and Stuttgart-based virtualQ, which develops a waiting app for call centres.
HTGF usually invests €500,000 at the seed stage. The fresh capital will be used for product development, additional hires and to finance internationalisation.
The company was granted €6,000 at this year's IFA, a consumer electronics fair, by the German ministry for economic affairs.
Company
Founded in 2014 and based in Berlin and Stuttgart, virtualQ is a waiting service for call centres that allows customers to wait in line via an app on their smart phone or using the web, rather than staying on the phone. A push notification or text message is sent to inform the caller when it is their turn.
People
Tanja Emmerling is an investment manager at HTGF. Ulf Kühnapfel is the founder of virtualQ.
