MCP takes minority stake in LMF
Metric Capital Partners has taken a minority stake in Leobersdorfer Maschinenfabrik (LMF), an Austrian industrial company.
Following the deal, Metric will partner with Equita, the majority shareholder in LMF. The investment will further LMF's international expansion within the global compressor systems market as the company is setting up local sales and service operations in China and Germany.
The deal represents debt investor Metric's first deal in the DACH region.
Metric was set up by former Towerbrook Capital Partners managing director John Sinik. Established in September 2011, Metric provides debt to European mid-cap companies with enterprise values between €50-500m. The firm has completed 11 investments since inception and is launching a new fund in 2014.

LMF is headquartered in Leobersdorf, Austria, and provides high-pressure piston compressor systems within niche industrial applications in the oil and gas value chain. The company's products are used in the production of oil and gas under extreme heat and ship-mounted systems that are used for the seismic exploration of offshore natural reserves.
People
John Sinik is a managing partner of Metric. David Scheurl is a principal of Metric and responsible for Metric’s transactions in the DACH region. Ronald Elgert is the CEO of LMF.
