DBAG acquires portfolio from AlpInvest
Private equity investor Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) and its Expansion Capital Fund (ECF) have added Novopress to their portfolio and increased their stake in JCK.
DBAG has acquired the interests via a €23.3m portfolio purchase from AlpInvest, a Dutch asset manager.
DBAG secured a 19% stake in German tool systems developer and manufacturer Novopress, while the DBAG ECF vehicle will hold 21%.
DBAG and its ECF vehicle have also raised their investment in JCK, a trading company for textiles and sportswear, to 12.4%. DBAG was previously invested with a 3.6% stake and has now raised this to 9.5%. ECF secured a 6.5% stake.

Founded in 1969, Novopress is a tool systems developer and manufacturer based in Neuss, Germany. JCK is based in Quakenbrück and generated revenues of €583m in 2014. It operates a number of companies distributing textiles, sportswear and other products.

Rold Scheffels is a member of the DBAG management board. Sven Meyer and Gert Rieger are managing directors of Novopress.
