Sunmachine GmbH (Germany) - Jan 2008
BayBG Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH has, alongside private and institutional investors, raised €11.8m expansion capital for Sunmachine GmbH, a producer of block heat and power plants. The investor has acquired 3% of the company and holds a stake as a ‘stille Gesellschafter’ (silent stakeholder). The investor has followed the company’s development since it won a regional business plan competition in 2006. Since then, Sunmachine has acquired patents, won distributors and developed prototypes.
The expansion capital will be used to go into serial production and increase production capacities. In 2008, the company plans to hire 70 additional staff.
