VR Equitypartner buys Norafin from Pinova
VR Equitypartner has acquired German textile producer Norafin from Pinova Capital.
Managing director André Lang, as well as other members of the management, will retain a significant minority stake in the company. VR plans to support Norafin in its plans to further expand through the US.
Pinova stated that during its ownership, Norafin set up business in the US and increased its manufacturing capacity.
Previous funding
In May 2012, Pinova acquired German speciality textile producer Norafin Industries from Maj Invest's holding company Vernal.
Company
Norafin, based in Mildenau, is a manufacturer of engineered fabrics such as speciality and technical nonwoven fabrics and composites.
It targets industrial market segments such as filtration, performance apparel and speciality applications. The company has 160 employees, a turnover of €29m and exports to the US and Netherlands.
