Gimv leads €10m round for GOVECS
European private equity firm Gimv has led a €10m financing round for Munich-based electric scooter company GOVECS.
The GP contributed €4m to the round, alongside KfW, BayBG and existing investors. The capital will support the organic growth of the business, including increased sales and marketing efforts and a broadening of the product portfolio.
Company
GOVECS develops, assembles and distributes electric scooters. The company is based in Munich where it was founded by former industry executives in 2009. Its scooters are built in its plant in Wroclaw, Poland.
People
Partner Hansjörg Sage worked on the deal for Gimv, alongside the firm's principal Robert Gallenberger. The pair will take seats on the company's board of directors.
