Finanzcheck raises €33m series-C from HarbourVest et al.
German fintech startup Finanzcheck has raised a €33m series-C led by HarbourVest, with participation from Acton Capital Partners and Highland Capital Partners Europe.
With the fresh capital, the company aims to improve its technology and product offering.
Highland Europe has previously co-invested with HarbourVest in Photobox and VistaPrint, and with Acton in MyOptique.
Previous funding
Highland Europe invested €10m in Finanzcheck in January 2015. In March 2014, NWZ-Verlag, along with b-to-v Partners, invested an undisclosed amount in the company. In August 2012, TA Ventures provided an undisclosed sum to Finanzcheck.

Founded in 2010 and based in Hamburg, Finanzcheck is an online B2C marketplace where German consumers can compare more than 35 bank loan products. The company claims it covers the complete value chain from customer acquisition to credit scoring and ultimately contract signing. It has 120 employees.
