Flossbach von Storch holds €75m first close for third FoF
Cologne-based Flossbach von Storch has held a first close on €75m for Tectum Private Equity III, its third private equity fund-of-funds.
The vehicle targets €150m and has a hard-cap of €200m. Its minimum subscription is €1m. Flossbach hopes to hold the final close in Q1 2017 at the latest.
K&L Gates, represented by Till Fock, worked on the legal side. The investor did not use a placement agent.
Flossbach von Storch has been involved in private equity since 1998 and launched its first fund-of-funds in 2008. The asset manager's other current vehicle, Flossbach von Storch Multiple Opportunities, targets small investors.
Investors
Tectum Private Equity III targets investments from family offices, institutional investors and wealthy individuals. The backers are mainly from Germany.
Investment
The vehicle will invest in 15-20 small- and mid-cap private equity funds in Europe and the US.
