
Brockhaus buys electronics producer IHSE
Brockhaus Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in German keyboard, video and mouse technology developer IHSE in a management buyout.
Brockhaus acquired the business alongside IHSE's CEO Enno Littmann in a succession arrangement. Two of the three founders have ceased to be shareholders, while the third, Heiner Esseln, will continue to provide the company with operational support. The investors plan to grow the company through international expansion.
The GP invested via its third vehicle, Brockhaus Private Equity III, which closed on €80m in January 2014.

IHSE is a developer and manufacturer of keyboard, video and mouse devices. The technology allows the remote switching, bi-directional extension and conversion of primary computer signals, including DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, Audio and USB. It is used in industries such as broadcasting, air traffic control, control rooms, banking, manufacturing, medicine, shipping, culture and education, as well as government.
IHSE is based in Oberteuringen, with subsidiaries in Singapore and the US, and employs approximately 80 employees.
