Ardian appoints Brenke as co-head of Ardian Private Debt
French private equity house Ardian has appointed former Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) director Mark Brenke as co-head of Ardian Private Debt.
In his new role, Brenke will work alongside Olivier Berment, who is also co-head of Ardian Private Debt.
The newly appointed co-head has 20 years of experience in private capital investment in European markets, encompassing both private debt and private equity.
Prior to joining Ardian two years ago as managing director, Brenke served as director at ICG, where he was most recently in charge of establishing the firm's European direct lending activity.
Ardian's private debt team currently counts 17 members based in London, Paris and Frankfurt. The third generation of the firm's private debt arm, Ardian Private Debt Fund III, closed with commitment of €2bn in September last year. Around 50% of the fund has been deployed, with recent investments including 6 Degrees and JLA in the UK, and P&I in Germany. Ardian Private Debt has in excess of $60bn assets under management in total.
