CVC promotes Germani to head of France as Meunier retires
CVC Capital Partners has promoted partner Jean-Christophe Germani to head of private equity operations in France.
Germani joined CVC in 2013 from Goldman Sachs as a member of the French team based in Paris. Prior to this, he spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was heading the French and southern European teams for Goldman Sachs Merchant Bank.
In addition, the firm announced that managing partner Bertrand Meunier will retire from CVC in 2020, after seven years at the firm.
Meunier joined CVC in 2012 to oversee private equity activities in France and South America, with a focus on the consumer sector. Previously, he was chair of the partner committee and head of the sector teams at PAI Partners.
Germani worked alongside Bertrand, helping build CVC's franchise in France in the last five years.
