Aurelius appoints Dränert in Wachstumskapital division
Aurelius has announced the appointment of Markus Dränert as portfolio director in the software and technology team of its Aurelius Wachstumskapital division, effective as of 15 April 2021.
The appointment is intended to expand Aurelius Wachstumskapital’s expertise in the software and technology sectors, the GP said in a statement.
Dränert was formerly CEO and new venture partner at Finleap. He also has prior experience in various roles with IT and software companies, as well as with T-Online and Deutsche Telekom.
Aurelius's Wachstumskapital strategy targets DACH SMEs with revenues of €10-150m and EBITDA of €3-10m, focusing on succession solutions and corporate spin-outs. The strategy is backed by DACH family offices and aims to make sustainable, long-term investments.
Portfolio companies under the strategy include digital marketing business DetailM, which the GP acquired in September 2020, and technical building equipment company G&N, which Aurelius bought in 2018.
