OFI acquires additional 22% stake in Dessange
OFI Private Equity Capital has acquired a further 21.61% of the share capital of Dessange International from the founding owner Jacques Dessange.
Following this transaction, funds managed by OFI Private Equity, the other shareholders and the management of Dessange will control 100% of the business. OFI Private Equity Capital had acquired 65% of Dessange International in July 2008 to develop the business internationally.
The current acquisition was made on the basis of an enterprise value similar to that of July 2008, and was financed by the current shareholders alongside Groupe Banques Populaires and Crédit du Nord.
Founded in 1954, Dessange International is a high-end coiffure salon chain in Europe. The group has more than 1,000 salons, of which 40% are located abroad in 36 different countries. In 2009, the group generated a €53m turnover.
