
Gimv leads €9m round for Private Outlet
A pool of institutional investors led by Gimv has provided French e-commerce company Private Outlet with €9m of funding.
Gimv invested €4.9m and was joined by Turenne Capital. BayTech Venture Capital, GP Bullhound and Kreos Capital - which all participated in a previous €7.3m round in 2008 - also took part in the transaction.
Private Outlet is an e-commerce company based in La Plaine Saint-Denis, near Paris. The website focuses on private sales of high-end fashion items, including clothing and accessories. It currently employs 105 staff and has posted triple-digit annualised growth since its inception in 2007. The fresh funds will allow Private Outlet to pursue several development projects, including a possible European expansion.
