Ardian leads €7m round for Bricoprivé
Ardian has injected an additional €5m into the capital structure of French e-commerce website Bricoprivé, complemented by a €2m contribution from BPI France.
Founders Julien Boué and Marc Leverger remain majority shareholders in the group following the transaction.
The new funding is aimed at sustaining the company's growth both domestically and abroad, in Spain and Italy especially.
It also intends to improve customer relations and delivery services.
Previous funding
In 2015, Ardian invested around €2.5m to acquire a minority stake in Bricoprivé after a partial exit by the business's previous minority shareholders. Ardian drew equity from its Ardian Growth fund, making it the fund's fifth investment.
Company
Founded in 2012 in Toulouse and managed by Julien Boué and Marc Leverger, Bricoprivé.com is a website for flash sales of discounted DIY, gardening and home improvement products.
