Accel, Kima lead €3m series-A round for Brocante Lab
Accel and Kima Ventures have led a €3m series-A round for Paris-based startup Brocante Lab, a vintage and secondhand furniture and interior decoration retailer.
Accel provided the largest part of the round, followed by Kima and business angels, including the co-founder and CEO of Showroomprivé, Thierry Petit.
As part of the investment, Petit and Accel's Luciana Lixandru will be joining the company board.
Brocante Lab is also changing its name to Selency, as part of an effort to create a more international brand, the GP said in a statement.
Funds will be used to boost the startup's mobile offer and support its marketing campaign, as well as to develop a wider product selection and expand the team.
Previous funding
In April 2015, the startup had raised seed funding of an undisclosed amount provided by business angels, including startup incubator 50 Partners.
