Socadif, Brie Picardie, Idia in €15m round for Acrelec
Brie Picardie Expansion, Idia Capital and Socadif have contributed to a €15m round for digital payment specialist Acrelec.
Brie Picardie, Idia Capital and Socadif are all subsidiaries of the French group Crédit Agricole. Acrelec directors Jalel Souissi and Jacques Mangeot will retain a majority stake in the group following the transaction.
The expansion round follows in the wake of Acrelec's acquisition of Pittsburg-based HyperActive Technologies, a group managing quick service restaurants equipped with outdoor digital displays, order confirmation software and drive-throughs.
Completed in June, the acquisition was supported by investments from business angels, company founders and members of the management team.
With the fresh funding, Acrelec will pursue its international expansion with particular focus on China, where the group currently operates around 100 terminals, a company statement said.
Company
Founded in 2004, Acrelec provides digital services and equipment for customers in the food and retail industries. Equipment includes kiosks, digital displays, order confirmation boards, table service systems, and drive-through technology.
Acrelec operates in 49 countries and employs 550 people, generating €68m in sales, according to its website.
