Index Ventures leads €11m round for Qapa
Index Ventures has led an €11m series-A round for Paris-based job matching platform Qapa.
Index was joined by existing investors 360 Capital Partners and Partech Ventures, which had already contributed to a seed round for the startup in 2011.
With the fresh funding, the startup hopes to continue development of its platform, aiming to double its number of users to seven million in the near future. It will also look to recruit new staff, aiming for a headcount of 100 by year-end, several sources reported.
Previous funding
In June 2011, Partech led a €1.7m seed round of funding for Qapa alongside 360 Capital Partners and business angels.
Company
Founded in 2011, Qapa provides a job matching marketplace for non-skilled workers. The firm is based in Paris. Its platform reportedly counts 4.5 million registered applicants for around 400,000 job offers. Qapa currently has 25 employees.
