CapHorn, Ventech et al. back InterCloud with €10m
CapHorn Invest, Ventech, Hi Inov and BPI France have provided French cloud business InterCloud with €10m of funding.
CapHorn and Ventech were previous backers of the business, while Hi Inov (which invested via the Hi Inov1 and SNCF Digital Ventures vehicles) and BPI France are newcomers in the round.
CapHorn and Ventech provided InterCloud with €3.5m of funding in October 2014, and the business had raised smaller amounts prior to that since inception in 2010. US-based Riverbed Technology, which took part in the 2014 round, did not re-up as part of this latest round.
It is understood InterCloud will use the fresh funding to expand geographically, notably towards the UK.
The financing round is one of the largest seen in France since the start of 2017 – other venture deals that broke the €10m mark include a €26m series-C round of funding for healthcare platform Doctolib and a €38.5m round of growth capital funding for internet search platform Qwant.
