Omnes, Partech, Korelya in $17m round for AB Tasty
Omnes Capital, Partech Ventures and Korelya Capital have provided French software-as-a-service company AB Tasty with a $17m series-B round.
Omnes previously took part in a €5m series-A round in 2016, while Partech and Korelya are joining in as new investors. XAnge Private Equity, which also contributed to the series-A, committed further capital on this occasion.
AB Tasty will now pursue its development in the US, aiming to extend its reach into the international market.
The 2016 funding round enabled the company to set up its New York office. It will continue to grow its local team and client list, which currently includes customers such as Sephora, Mercedes Benz, Groupon and Pizza Hut.
Previous funding
In 2016, Omnes joined previous backers Kima Ventures and XAnge in a €5m series-A round for AB Tasty. Omnes was understood to have provided around half of the round, which would mostly support AB Tasty's R&D efforts, while maintaining a focus on international expansion and the development of mobile-specific products, unquote" reported at the time.
In September 2014, Kima and XAnge invested €1.1m to acquire minority stakes in AB Tasty. The seed funding was aimed at enabling the company to accelerate growth in Germany, the UK, Spain and Italy.
Company
Founded in 2011 by Alix de Sagazan and Rémi Aubert, AB Tasty is a software-as-a-service application that enables e-marketers to optimise their websites and conversion rates without technical knowledge by running A/B tests and personalising customer experience. Clients include CDiscount, Showroomprivé, Carrefour, Pierre & Vacances and ITV.
AB Tasty says it doubled in size in 2016, employing a total of 115 people spread across seven international offices.
