Eurazeo, BPI France join forces to invest €35m in Doctolib
Eurazeo and BPI France have invested €35m in a funding round for online medical booking platform Doctolib.
Eurazeo has made a €17m contribution from Eurazeo Croissance, a €500m venture fund announced in 2010, in return for a minority stake. BPI France contributed the remainder of the round, according to a person familiar with the deal.
VC firm and existing investor Accel Partners did not take part in the round, but remains invested.
Doctolib is currently operating in France and Germany and the new money will go towards international expansion.
This is the second time that Eurazeo and BPI have collaborated on a deal, investing in internet peer-to-peer lending platform Younited earlier this year.
Previous funding
Doctolib has raised a total of €61m in 2017; €26m in January, topped up by the latest €35m financing round.
Company
Founded in October 2013, Doctolib is an online medical booking and internet services platform for healthcare professionals.
Doctolib currently employs 380 people and has offices in 5 cities in France and Germany. It also collaborates with 17,000 practitioners and 435 health facilities, and claims to service six million patients on its sites.
