
Index leads €23m series-A for Alan
VC house Index Ventures has led a €23m series-A funding round for Paris-based digital health insurance provider Alan.
Previous investors OpenCNP, Partech Ventures and Portag3 Ventures LP also took part in the funding round, alongside French businessman Xavier Niel.
With the fresh capital, the company plans to reach 100,000 users within the next three years, hire new staff to build a team of 80 employees by the end of 2018, expand its product offering and grow internationally.

In 2016, Alan raised €12m in a seed round led by OpenCNP, Partech and Portag3.
