CM-CIC Capital Privé divests Celeste
CM-CIC Capital Privé has sold its stake in French B2B internet and data centre provider Celeste, while founder Nicolas Aube has increased his majority stake.
Siparex provided mezzanine financing to support the reorganisation of the shareholding structure of the business. The GP used its Siparex Intermezzo fund, which provides financing mainly in sponsorless buyouts as well as in mezzanine-type deals. Tickets provided by the fund can total €10m, according to Unquote Data.
CM-CIC Capital Privé backed Celeste in 2012. At the time, the company generated a turnover of €8m.
Company
Founded in 2001, Celeste provides internet access to businesses via a fibre-optic network. It also offers IP telephony and data centre hosting. Headquartered in Champs-Sur-Marne, the company aimed to generate revenues of €16.5m in 2016.
