
Serena, Newfund back €7m round for FlexyBeauty
French VC firms Serena Capital and Newfund have invested in a €7m funding round for Paris-based hair and beauty professional software company FlexyBeauty.
The fresh capital will be used to consolidate FlexyBeauty's position in France, as well as expand internationally, starting with the the UK.
Since raising its series-A a year ago, FlexyBeauty has more than tripled its number of users from 1,200 to 4,000.
Previous funding
Newfund led a €1.5m seed round for FlexyBeauty in March 2017. The VC firm invested from its maiden vehicle Newfund 1, which typically invests between €500,000-6m in French SMEs.
Company
Co-founded in 2014 by CTO Sébastien Beaujard and CEO Ilan Koskas, FlexyBeauty offers an integrated Software-as-a-Service product dedicated to hairdressers, beauty salons and spas. The service includes a cash register software, an appointments manager and a timetable and website/mobile app builder. The company employs 40 people and expects this to double by the end of 2018.
