
Draper Esprit leads $29m series-B for Aircall
Draper Esprit has led a $29m series-B funding round for Aircall, a France-based developer of call centre software.
Draper Esprit invested $14m in the round, with the fresh capital enabling the company to make senior US- and Europe-based appointments, and invest in product development.
Existing backers Balderton Capital and Newfund Capital also took part in the round alongside NextWorld Capital.
Previous funding
Aircall received two rounds of seed funding in 2015, with Newfund and private investors providing $800,000 in June, and 500 Startups providing an undisclosed amount the following month.
Balderton then led a $2.75m seed financing round for Aircall in January 2016, with startup accelerator FundersClub and North American entrepreneurs also taking part in the round. Eight months later, Balderton led an $8m series-A round for the company, with FundersClub and FJLabs also taking part.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Paris, Aircall is a provider of software-based phone systems. Its software can be integrated into client retention management and support software, as well as platforms including Slack, Salesforce, Zapier, Hubspot and Pipedrive. The business has additional operations in the US and Germany.
