
Iris leads €15m series-A for Exotec
Iris Capital has led a €15m series-A funding round for Paris-based robot builder Exotec Solutions.
Existing investors 360 Capital Partners and Breega Capital also took part in the financing.
The fresh capital will be used to triple the size of the company's staff and build 1,000 new robots by 2019.
Previous funding
360 Capital Partners led a €3.3m seed round for Exotec alongside Breega in December 2016. Prior to this, the company was funded by a consortium of business angels, who invested €340,000 in the project in December 2015.
Company
Exotec was founded in 2015 by Romain Moulin and Renaud Heitz. Exotec builds Skypod robots for the retail and e-commerce industries. The robots transfer goods around warehouses autonomously. The group is based in Paris and currently has 40 employees.
