BNP Paribas Développement et al. back Amarris Groupe
A consortium of investors has injected €5.5m into France-based Amarris Groupe, allowing it to acquire peer ECL Direct.
BNP Paribas Développement provided €1.8m, Ouest Croissance €1.4m, and Arkéa Capital €1m, while private investors as well as management provided the remainder.
The company will still be controlled by CEO Claude Robin.
The round of fresh capital has allowed Amarris to wholly acquire the online accountancy service ECL Direct from accountancy firm Strego, PE firm Go Capital, and individual investor Xavier de Labarriere. In 2016, Go Capital, via its Ouest Ventures III fund, led a €3.5m funding round in ECL.
Based in Saint-Herblain, ECL currently generates €7m in turnover with 120 employees.
