
BPI France backs Groupe Environnement Recycling
BPI France has acquired a minority stake in France-based Groupe Environnement Recycling (GER).
The GP used its France Investissement Energie Environnement (FIEE) vehicle for the transaction. GER is the fund's first investment since its launch in July 2017. The fund, targeting a volume of €100m, invests €500,000-7m for minority stakes in SMEs related to renewable energy, energy efficiency and the circular economy.
The fresh capital will be invested in industrial machinery to improve productivity.
Company
Founded in 2003, GER is a specialist in recycling and recovery of electrical and electronic equipment. Based in Domérat, the business generates sales of €15m.
