PE-backed Sentryo raises €10m series-A
Sentryo, a French industrial internet cybersecurity specialist, has secured a €10m series-A round from a consortium of new and existing backers.
The round attracted four new investors, split over two stages. Sopra Steria and BNP Paribas Développement entered in the first stage earlier in 2018, followed by Omnes Capital and Alliance Entreprendre in November.
The French cybersecurity business previously netted seed funding from defence-focused GP Ace Management, Breed Reply and Kreaxi in early 2016. The three investors re-upped in this series-A round – the company has now raised €13m to date, with the 2016 seed round amounting to €3m including extensions.
The fresh capital is expected to bolster growth in Europe and North America, and further develop the company's technology. The initial seed round was at the time earmarked to boost Europe-centric growth in France and Germany.
Company
Founded in June 2014, Sentryo develops software used to protect industrial Internet-of-Things businesses against cybersecurity risks. Headquartered in Lyon, the company works with clients in the energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, transportation, process industries and building management sectors.
