Draper Esprit leads $40m series-C for Finalcad
Draper Esprit has led a $40m series-C funding round for French startup Finalcad, a developer of digital applications for the construction industry.
Cathay Innovation and Salesforce Ventures also took part in the round, which brought the total funding raised by the company to around $63m.
Finalcad intends to use the fresh capital to further expand in Europe and Asia, extend its product offering to the energy and operations & maintenance sectors, and invest in research and development for its construction insight platform. In addition, the company plans to scale up its team by hiring 100 people to improve its platform and better serve its global customer base.
Previous funding
Serena Capital provided Finalcad with a €2.1m series-A funding round in June 2014.
Subsequently, in September 2016, Serena Capital, Aster Capital and CapHorn Invest deployed $20m in a series-B funding round to finance the company's expansion and internationalisation. Serena Capital invested from its Serena II fund.
