
CM-CIC backs Septeo MBO
CM-CIC Investissement has acquired a minority stake in Septeo, a France-based software publisher for legal professionals, IT directors and real estate managers.
Founders and directors Philippe Riviere, Jean-Luc Boixel and Hugues Galambrun retained a majority in the business.
The GP will support Septeo in its international growth ambitions, both in terms of organic growth and acquisitions (the business might start serving new industries). In particular, Septeo aims at pursuing a buy-and-build strategy in the US.
The growth capital transaction was supported by senior debt provided by Banque CIC Sud-Ouest.

With origins in a company called GenApi, founded in 1988, Septeo is today a software publisher supporting professionals operating in different industries (legal, IT, notary and real estate). The firm specialises in the digital transformation of businesses.
Based in Montpellier, Septeo employs 1,000 people in France, Belgium, Canada, the US, Dubai (UAE) and Tunisia. It has revenues of €130m.
