Ardian, BPI France sell Ouvêo
Alliance Entreprendre, Siparex and Galia Gestion have acquired an 80% stake in France-based Ouvêo from Ardian and BPI France.
Ardian owned 50-60% and BPI owned 10% of Ouvêo prior to the deal. Alliance Entreprendre, an investor since 2004, has reinvested in the company, partnering with new backers Siparex and Galia Gestion; together, the three PE houses own an 80% stake.
Ardian held the asset via Ardian Expansion Fund III, a €500m vehicle that closed in 2014.
Under Ardian's ownership, the business has increased its sales from €32m in 2011 to €50m in 2018.
Previous funding
Alliance Entreprendre and FSI Régions acquired Guigneux in 2004. The GPs then merged Guigneux with Plastiferm in 2007 to form the Ouvêo group.
Ardian acquired the group in a deal valued at between €25-50m in 2012. Two years later, the GP provided Ouvêo Group with fresh capital for the bolt-on of Provelis, a provider of blinds and garage doors. The acquisition was meant to increase Ouvêo's presence in south-east France and expand its product range. Existing backers BPI France and Alliance Entreprendre also provided fresh capital to support the transaction.
Company
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Saint-Médard-de-Guizières, the Ouvêo group specialises in the manufacturing of custom joineries and shutters. The business has three production sites and manages the production of windows, sliding doors, entry doors, shutters and roll-up garage doors.
The business, employing 280 people, generates a €50m turnover, according to Capital Finance.
