Idinvest et al. inject €25m in Malt series-B
New and existing backers led by Idinvest have invested €25m in France-based Malt, a business support service connecting freelancers and companies.
Historical backers Serena and Isai, having previously backed the €5m series-A in 2016, have taken part in the round. The business has raised €32m since inception, according to a statement.
The fresh capital will allow Malt to expand into the German and Dutch markets. The startup is currently aiming at doubling its workforce in the next year.
Company
Malt, founded in 2013 and originally called Hopwork, is a platform linking freelancers with the companies likely to call on their services. According to a statement, it allowed 100,000 digital freelancers to be employed in 15,000 businesses.
The startup launched in Spain around a year ago and has offices in Paris, Lyon and Madrid. It currently employs around 100 people.
