Arkéa backs Groupe Vert, bolts on Netvime
Arkéa Capital-backed Groupe Vert, a France-based B2B eco-friendly cleaning service, has acquired domestic peer Netvime.
Arkéa's recent investment in Groupe Vert has allowed the company to buy Netvime and strengthen its presence in Bretagne. The combined business expects to generate almost €20m in revenues, according to a statement.
Created in 2009 and based in Plérin, Groupe Vert is made up of a dozen independent companies specialising in the cleaning of business premises and after-disaster intervention.
The business gives high priority to eco-friendly practices in its operations. For example, it chooses biodegradable products of vegetable origin and resulting from fair trade, or uses materials that consume less water and electricity. The group generated sales of nearly €12m in 2018 and employs 850 people.
Arkéa is currently investing via its Abénex Croissance Fund. The vehicle, launched in Q4 2018, is yet to hold a final close. With a target of €125m and a hard-cap of €150m, the fund targets French SMEs with enterprise values of between €10-50m.
