Experienced Capital backs Oh My Cream
French GP Experienced Capital has acquired a 41% stake in France-based cosmetics specialist Oh my Cream via its second fund, Experienced Capital Partners II (ECP II).
The investment is the first transaction for ECP II, which recently held a first close on €70m. ECP II backs businesses valued at €10-100m, providing equity tickets of €10-30m.
Experienced Capital joins previous backer Eutopia, which backed the business in 2016. Eutopia also reinvested in the company as part of this latest transaction.
Previous funding
Upon launch, Oh My Cream had raised a €250,000 seed round from business angels, shortly followed by a €1.3m round provided by Cap Invest. Subsequently, Eutopia (then known as Otium Capital) injected €6m into the company in 2016.
Company
Founded in 2013 and based in Paris, Oh My Cream is a beauty store chain that provides beauty products from its own brand and third-party brands. The business promotes eco-friendly and niche cosmetics, rather than established brands.
The company operates 10 shops across France and employs 50 people. Oh My Cream expects to generate revenues of €13m in 2019.
