Index leads €35m round for Spendesk
Index Ventures has led a €35m funding round for business spending management platform Spendesk.
US-based VC Index is currently investing from its $650m Index Ventures IX vehicle.
The fresh capital will go towards funding product development, and launching new offices in Berlin and London, as well the launch of the platform in Spain and the Nordic region.
The company plans to add smart analytics, support for more international currencies, wire transfers, and strategic partnerships with complementary services such as TravelPerk to the platform. It will also expand its headcount by 100 people.
Previous funding
In 2017, Kima Ventures, along with private investors, led a €2m seed round for the company.
In January 2018, Index led an €8m series-A for the company.

The company provides spend management software to companies. The platform offers virtual and physical payment methods, approval workflows, automated receipt capture, real-time spend analysis and invoice management. Founded in 2016 and based in Paris, the company employs 120 people.
