
InnovaHealth backs Koelis
US-based GP InnovaHealth Partners has acquired a majority stake in France-based Koelis, a developer of medical imaging products for urologists.
New York-based GP InnovaHealth is backing the business via a growth equity investment. The previous funding of Koelis includes Medevice Capital acquiring a minority stake for €1m in 2012.
Founded in 2016, InnovaHealth invests in the medical devices space and manages around $200m.
Company
Founded in 2006, Koelis specialises in image-guided systems for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment. The company's products enable urologists to more accurately diagnose prostate cancer and can offer patients less invasive, non-radical treatment choices. Its treatments have been commercialised in the US, Europe and most Asian markets.
Koelis is headquartered both in Meylan, France, and Auburndale, in the US, and has offices in Hong Kong.
