
Xerys, Siparex et al. close $18.6m series-B for Herow
Previous investors Xerys Fund, Siparex and Calao Finance have completed a $18.6m series-B round for France-based Herow, formerly known as Connecthings, a contextual engagement platform app.
The business has raised $19.7m to date.
Calao Finance provided growth funding for Herow in 2012 to help the business expand internationally. Three years later, Xerys, Siparex and Calao injected $10.6m in the business in the first stage of a series-B, which has now been closed.
The round of funding will help the business open a new office in San Francisco by the end of 2019 and expand into new markets outside of Europe and the US.

Founded in 2007, Herow is a contextual engagement platform for mobile applications. The company's new platform launched in October 2018. Built around everyday behaviours and powered by location-based intelligence, it claims to allows apps to maximise mobile engagement with their users.
The startup currently works with apps in the mobility, dating, gaming and entertainment sectors. The business is headquartered in Paris and New York, with locations in Barcelona and San Francisco.
