
PE-backed Groupe Blondel buys Transports Regis Martelet
Private-equity-backed transportation and logistics service Groupe Blondel has acquired Transports Regis Martelet, a French family-owned competitor.
The historical backers of Blondel – Picardie Investissement and BPI France since 2015, and CM-CIC Investissement since 2017 – reinvested in the business, according to a statement.
As a result of the bolt-on, Blondel will now generate €240m in revenues and employ 2,300 people.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Dijon, transportation and logistics service Transports Regis Martelet generates a €38m turnover. It employs 250 people. The company has developed an e-commerce activity, which Blondel intends to develop.
