US-based GP Providence Equity Partners has invested $32m in France-headquartered Net Reviews, a developer of software-as-a-service helping online retailers to manage verified customer reviews.
Providence's growth team, Providence Strategic Growth, is managing the investment and will help Net Reviews expand in Europe and the Americas through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
The GP closed its Providence Strategic Growth IV fund on $2bn in September this year. The fund aims to provide growth capital to 15-20 lower-mid-market software and tech companies in North America and Europe. It provides equity tickets in the $5-75m range.
M Capital, previously known as Midi Capital, invested €2m in the business in 2014.
